Mark Camphouse received his formal musical training at Northwestern University. His compositions for wind band have received wide acclaim and performance in the U.S. and abroad. He is Professor Emeritus at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, where he conducted the wind symphony and taught courses in conducting and composition. He retired in 2022 after 44 years of full-time teaching in higher education. Professor Camphouse and his wife, Elizabeth Curtis, live in Millville, Delaware, near the Atlantic coast. They have twin daughters and three granddaughters.
