10th San Francisco Flute Society, San Francisco. Flutes by the Sea Masterclass and Competitions to be held in the historic oceanside town of Half Moon Bay, June 14-17. Join us for 4 intensive days of masterclasses, flute choirs, ensembles, exhibits, and recitals. Apply early as rates go up April 1. Student housing is available at the oceanfront Montara Lighthouse Youth Hostel. Our featured Guest Artist this year will be Jasmine Choi, International Soloist, former Principal Flute of the Vienna Symphony, former Associate Principal of the Cincinnati Symphony, SONY Classical Recording Artist, 2018 Winter Olympics’ Featured Artist. Our pianist will be Dmitriy Cogan. Additionally, we will be holding a VIRTUAL Competition with cash prizes and an opportunity to perform during the masterclass. Competitive students are encouraged to submit two contrasting video links by April 1.
Flute Boot Camp is a three-day intensive program designed to educate and inspire young flutists from 7th grade to 12th grade. Daily masterclasses and preparation for State Allstate and Solo Ensemble. The University of Central Florida Flute and Piccolo Institute is a 5 day experience of music making open for students in grades 7-12. Flute and piccolo Workshop features masterclasses with Dr. Nora Lee Garcia. All participants will be part of a large Flute Orchestra culminating with a final showcase concert. 6/26-6/30. Flute! Repertoire and Performance Masterclass is a performance class for advanced performers, and these sessions emphasize musical performance and preparation.
