Berlin’s Principal Flute Emmanuel Pahud
Pahud won the principal position in the Berlin Philharmonic in 1992 at the tender age of 22, and with the exception of an 18-month sabbatical to teach at the Geneva Conser­vatoire, he has been there ever since. He has appeared as soloist with most of the world’s leading orchestras, including the London Philharmonic, Wash­ington National Symphony, Tokyo Sym­phony Orches­tra, Zurich Tonhalle, Bayerischer Rund­funk, and the Berlin Philharmonic.
