Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, the renowned Long Island, NY summer arts day camp now entering its 46th season, has introduced the arts to more than 60,000 students ages 6-18. Each year, more than 1500 students attend from New York City and throughout the Tri-State Area, transported by air-conditioned buses.
The Center will hold its final Open House for the 2013 season, which begins June 24, at its 200-acre woodland campus at 185 Colonial Springs Road in Wheatley Heights (Huntington), New York.
Usdan's Music Department encompasses an enormous range of styles, from classical to popular, taught by distinguished teachers. Also, distinguished artists perform and teach Master Classes, including MET Principal Clarinetist Anthony McGill, MET Orchestra violist Vincent Lionti, flutist James Galway, and Jazz Stars Arturo O'Farrill, Randy Brecker and Jon Faddis.
Families who cannot attend the free Open House may make appointments for other days. For more information, write to [email protected], call (631) 643-7900, or visit www.usdan.com. |
